Kate Middleton is facing a lot of pressure amid her cancer recovery, according to a source.
The Princess of Wales stepped back from her royal duties after announcing she had been diagnosed with an unidentified type of cancer last year. She then shared a positive update in September after completing her chemotherapy treatment.
Kate has now been making a slow return to work, but one source has claimed she has faced issues. “She’s very clearly everybody’s favorite and the member of the family that is the most respected by the public overall which is something she appreciates of course, but it also puts her under a huge amount of pressure because her opinion is being asked for every move the family makes,” they said.
The royal family has been hit by a number of scandals in recent years. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, for example, have issued a number of bombshell allegations against various royals.
In his memoir Spare, the Duke of Sussex opened up about an explosive row he had with his brother Prince William, during which the Prince of Wales allegedly called Harry’s wife “difficult”, “rude” and “abrasive”. Harry claims his brother then “grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor”.
Prince Andrew has also been surrounded by controversy. He was forced to skip the royal family’s Christmas celebrations following his involvement in a scandal with an alleged Chinese spy.
Speaking to In Touch Magazine, the source continued, “While she was recovering the Firm had to muddle through without her, but now that she’s feeling better everyone is turning to her to get her take on every little thing.”
The source suggested people are hoping to get “advice” from Kate on how to handle things. As well as this, it’s believed the Prince and Princess of Wales are taking on more responsibility as a result of King Charles’ own cancer diagnosis.
The source described this as a “pivotal time” for the royal family and claimed Kate is now at the center of their decision making. They added, “It’s hard to imagine what they would do without her.
