Prince George’s stern two-word plea to cheeky Prince Louis as he started to misbehave
Prince George played the role of the elder brother at Trooping the Colour earlier this year, as he appears to be becoming accustomed to his future role as the Royal Family’s leader.
It marked a pivotal day for the Wales family, as it marked the Princess of Wales’s first public outing since she started her cancer treatment and also marked the first time her three children had been seen too.
The family-of-five stood together on the balcony of Buckingham Palace alongside other senior working royals on Saturday July 15, in a powerful display of family unity.
During the RAF flypast, the event that traditionally marks the conclusion of Trooping the Colour, Prince Louis got distracted and started chatting with his father, turning his back to the crowd gathered by the Queen Victoria Memorial.
Prince George was quick to notice his younger brother’s move and brought his attention back to the spectacle.
A clip filmed during on the day that circulated on X at the time showed the future King gesturing at Louis and seemingly telling in to “turn around”.
The six-year-old immediately listened to his brother and turned around – albeit for just a few seconds, before he tried to speak once again with his doting father.
Prince Louis’s cheeky antics delighted once again royal fans, who have grown accustomed to spotting the young royal having fun in his own way during official engagements.
Princess Charlotte, who on the balcony stood in front of Kate, Princess of Wales, had also tried to keep little Louis in line during this year’s Trooping the Colour.
As the siblings were watching the parade from the Major General’s Office overlooking Horse Guards Parade, Prince Louis was spotted yawning, dancing along during the Scots Guards’ march to Highland Laddie and chatting with Princess Kate.
At one point, the nine-year-old princess appeared to tell Louis off, according to lip reader Nicola Hickling.
Louis was dancing, Ms Hickling told the Mirror she believes Charlotte told her brother: “You have to stop doing that. Watch the parade”.
However, Prince Louis didn’t seem keen to listen to Charlotte, as he is believed to have replied: “I won’t”.
Charlotte then reportedly added, “Do as you’re told” but her brother savagely responded: “Nope.”
